Reviewing the appeal decision
When you ask us to look at a decision again, we will check that the decision is correct. A different member of staff from the person who made the original decision will do this.
- If we find the decision is wrong, we will change it. If the decision can be changed we will send you a new decision
- If we cannot change the decision we will send you a letter telling you that we cannot change it. The letter will confirm our original decision
- If you still disagree with our decision, you have one more month to appeal the benefit decision from the date of the new decision letter
- The appeal will be heard by an independent tribunal. They deal with appeals about Housing and Council Tax Benefit, other social security benefits, child support, vaccine damage, tax credit and compensation recovery
