Grass cutting

We are responsible for cutting the grass in the following areas:

  • Council-owned housing complexes
  • Countryside sites
  • Highway verges
  • Open spaces
  • Parks

Report a grounds maintenance problem

When do we cut the grass

  • April to November
  • Mowing is weather dependent and there will be occasions when mowing is suspended due to bad weather
  • Visit Glendale Live to see when maintenance is next scheduled in your area

Removal and clearance of grass clippings

Grass clippings will only be removed from:

  • Riversley Park
  • Miners' Welfare Park
  • George Eliot Gardens
  • Bedworth Almshouses
  • Independent Living housing schemes (first two or three cuts of the year only)
  • Two main town centre traffic islands

Grass clippings will be cleared from pavements:

  • in residential areas
  • within two hours
  • or before 9:00am the next day if grass has been cut after 3:00pm
