What is covered
The council is responsible for the structure, exterior and common parts of the building.
Grounds
The Council is responsible for maintaining all the common roads, access ways and paths within the grounds, which are used by all residents.
Cleaning
Cleaning of communal entrance areas and stairs is carried out on a weekly/fortnightly basis, with communal area window cleaning taking place every three months.
Gardens
Grounds maintenance is carried out by the parks team on a regular basis.
Building
All structural and external parts of the building of which your flat or maisonette is a composite part, dependent on the terms of your lease. The Council will decide who should carry out repair work and arrange for the repairs to be undertaken.
Carpentry
External doors (communal), grounds boundary fences, fascia boards and soffits, and other general repairs to communal areas.
