This event at Nuneaton Museum has been postponed from this Saturday, 17 August, until Saturday, 24 August.
The Hands-on History event titled Endangered Animals, has been inspired by Val Hunt’s fantastic touring exhibition Reincarnated Rubbish: Endangered and Extinct, which is currently on display at the Museum.
The event will showcase museum artefacts from around the world featuring animals classified as vulnerable or endangered.
Join us to handle these objects, learn about the cultural significance of the animal, and find out why each species is at risk.
The hands-on history events represent a unique opportunity to handle some of the wonderful artefacts from the museum’s collections.
The sessions are free, and there is no need to book. Drop in anytime between 11am and 3:30pm.
Councillor Tim Jenkins, Portfolio Holder for Leisure, Communities, and Health, said:
“The Museum’s handling sessions enable visitors to feel the excitement of real history in their hands.
“These sessions are well worth attending; like all of the exhibitions and displays, there really is something for everyone at the museum and art gallery.’’
While at the museum, why not check out the temporary exhibitions?
