The opening of Nuneaton’s Hampton by Hilton hotel has been rescheduled by just over two weeks.
The Abbey Street Hotel was expected to hold its official opening on Saturday, 24 August, but this has now been put back to an anticipated opening date of Tuesday, 10 September.
Bookings for the hotel will not be affected with the website advertising reservations from Monday, 16 September. Reservations were not being made before this date, and this remains unchanged.
Cllr Chris Watkins, Leader of Nuneaton and Bedworth Borough Council, said:
“While it is unfortunate that the official opening of the Hampton by Hilton has been rescheduled, we are still delighted that this superb asset to our town will be opening shortly.’’
“The hotel is the feature of the first phase of the exciting Grayson Place project, and we look forward to seeing its doors open thanks to the hard work of all those involved.”
The hotel, part of the Transforming Nuneaton project, forms part of the Abbey Street mixed-use redevelopment.
This will include a residential component alongside workspaces, a large cinema complex, a food hall, and landscaped public spaces.
It features 145 rooms, meeting space, and a fitness centre and will support the growth of Nuneaton as a regional business and leisure hub.
