Plans for the Bedworth Christmas Lights switch-on event on Saturday, 23 November, have been scaled back due to safety concerns with the forecasted weather.
This decision has been made alongside event partners who agreed that operations would not be safe in the expcted 50mph winds and heavy rain.
Alternative dates were considered with a view to rescheduling the event, but without promise the weather will improve, and the availability of traders means the event will go ahead but with changes for safety reasons.
Despite the predicted weather, there will be plenty of crafts and stall traders throughout the day, and these traders have been moved indoors.
Bedworth Covered Market will be open in the daytime between 8:00am and 2:00pm, with Bedworth Methodist Church next door opening from 10:00am until 1:00pm with its craft and church fair.
Inside Bedworth Civic Hall, you can find the Civic Hall’s Christmas Fayre from 11:00am until 4:00pm, with entertainment, stalls, drinks, and food.
D&K Christmas market traders have found a new home in All Saints Church from 2:00pm until 8:00pm, with D&K Bedworth Covered Christmas Market open from 4:00pm to 8:00pm.
The Covered Market will be filled with traders, festive food, drinks, Christmas trees, Santa’s grotto, and lots of entertainment, brought to you by Phase One Steel Band, Phaze One Dance Academy, PR Productions Jack & the Beanstalk, and Julie Bromage Dance Academy.
Then at 6:00pm at All Saints Church, Bedworth’s Christmas lights will be switched on.
