Nuneaton Museum & Art Gallery re-opens for 2025 with a pre-school storytelling session and free activities for children.
Friday 3 January - Janus Mask and Storytelling
January was named by the Romans after the God, Janus who was their god of beginnings and endings.
He is usually depicted as having two faces. Children are invited to come along and create their own Janus mask.
At 11.15 am there will be a story and a chance for pre-schoolers to get crafty, join in with a singalong and have fun!
Saturday 4 January - Portrait Perfect!
Be inspired by the portraits in our Town Portraits exhibition and create an imaginative portrait of yourself or someone you know.
No booking required, just pop along between 11am and 3pm. All children must be accompanied by an adult. Activities last about 20 minutes. At busy times you may be asked to wait.
As with all the shows, admission is free, though donations are always welcomed, and there are also several temporary exhibitions to enjoy throughout the building.
For opening hours, visit the Nuneaton Museum & Art Gallery webpage.
Councillor Tim Jenkins, Portfolio holder for Leisure, Communities and Health said:
“These activities are a great way to start the year.
“Get out the house and bring along your little ones for an enjoyable story or singalong, or try your hand at portrait painting!”
