Learn about the borough's past at Nuneaton Museum & Art Gallery

Nuneaton Museum & Art Gallery will be taking a trip down memory lane on Saturday, 22 February.

The handling event, Made in the Borough, aims to bring to life past industries and celebrate the people who worked for them.

Visitors can get hands-on with tactile memorabilia and photographs from the coal mining, textiles, brick and iron work industries.

The Hands-on History events represent a unique opportunity to handle some of the wonderful artefacts from the Museum’s collections.

The sessions are free and there is no need to book. Drop in anytime between 11:00am and 3:15pm in the Picture Gallery.

Cllr Tim Jenkins, Portfolio Holder for Leisure, Health and Communities, said:

“The Museum’s handling sessions enable visitors to feel the excitement of real history in their hands.”

Admission is free though donations are always welcome.

While at the Museum why not check out our temporary exhibitions?
