There are a host of exciting activities lined up for the school holidays at the Riversley Park building.

Come to the fun Make and Take Activities on selected Saturdays with our Museum Access Assistants, they run from 11am to 3:30pm, just drop in, no need to book.

This Saturday, 12 April sees Fancy Footwear, and Walk in my Shoes, be inspired by our National Feet Week themed handling event, get hands on, and design your own footwear!

The event runs from 11am until 4pm.

At this event we will also be taking a closer look at the shoe design and who wore them.

There are also Hands on History sessions for all ages when visitors can get hands on with Museum objects on selected Saturdays, with sessions running from 11am until 3:15pm. 

Easter Holiday activities include make a moving Easter bunny on Thursday 17 April and make a chick egg holder the following day, Good Friday. These sessions will run from 11am until 3pm. 

And to celebrate National Pet Month on Thursday 24 April, visitors can make their own caged bird thaumatrope (spinning cord) and a pet mouse the next day.     

Activities are free but donations are welcomed, all children must be accompanied by an adult.

During busy periods, there might be a slight delay for visitors to access the events.
