The new communications board at Bedworth Leisure Centre

A communications board is now in place to keep people informed about the brand-new replacement for Bedworth Leisure Centre.

The board, installed outside the existing centre, on Coventry Road, features a QR code that can be accessed by phone so people can see the proposed plans.

It also features images of what the Bedworth Physical Activity Hub may look like once completed.

The board mentions the internal aspects, such as the four-court sports hall, the health and fitness suite, the spin studio and fitness studio, an eight-lane 25-metre pool, and the learner pool.

The external features include the all-wheel skate park, the learn-to-ride facility and the 9v9 all-weather football pitch.

The new facility is scheduled to be open in the autumn of next year, 2025, with the full development due to be completed in early summer 2026.

It also includes a replacement car park along with outdoor active design works in Miners’ Welfare Park.

Kevin Hollis, Strategic Director for Public Services at Nuneaton and Bedworth Borough Council, said:

“We are really excited about the new Physical Activity Hub and the benefits it will bring not just to Bedworth but to the rest of our borough.

“This communications board is a way of keeping everyone informed about what the new facility has to offer and a taste of things to come.’’
