Nuneaton and Bedworth Borough Council's Planning team is consulting on a Validation checklist for all planning applications.

This will be used to validate planning applications and supporting documents to ensure all of the information the Planning team needs to assess the application has been submitted with planning applications.

The list will formally set out the mandatory national requirements, and in addition will set out additional local requirements considered necessary to assess planning applications.

The checklist has been drafted to ensure it is in accordance with the National Planning Policy Framework (NPPF) and National Planning Practice Guidance (NPPG).

The NPPF states that local planning authorities should publish a list of their information requirements, and the NPPG states that the local community, including applicants and agents should be consulted as part of this process.

The consultation will run from 23 May to 21 June, with the validation checklist available to view on the Council’s website on the Planning Policy consultation page and at the Town Hall between 10:00am and 2:00pm.

All responses should be sent to planning.policy@nuneatonandbedworth.gov.uk or put in writing, addressed to Planning Policy, Town Hall, Coton Road, Nuneaton , CV11 5AA by Friday, 21 June.
