Musical instruments of all shapes and sizes at the museum

To celebrate World Music Day, Nuneaton Museum & Art Gallery’s object handling session tomorrow, Saturday, 15 June, explores the joy of music through the collection of musical artefacts.

That’s Music to My Ears features music boxes to ritual trumpets, and visitors can try to match sound clips to the instrument in a guessing game.

The museum’s Hands on History events represent a unique opportunity to handle some of the wonderful artefacts from the collections.

The sessions are free, and there is no need to book. Drop in anytime between 11:00am and 4:00pm in the picture gallery.

While at the Museum, why not check out the temporary exhibitions?

Visitors can see the new exhibition, Town to Town, about Nuneaton Borough, which features items from the Nuneaton Borough Supporters' Co-Operative.

You can also have the chance to see Wiv Luv Larry, the celebratory exhibition about local comedian Larry Grayson, where you can learn about his life in his own words.

Also on display is the Festival of Arts Winners’ Showcase Exhibition, which features the work of the first-place winners in the Creative Arts categories at the Nuneaton Festival of Arts.

For opening hours, visit the Nuneaton Museum & Art Gallery webpage.
