One of the creatures on show at the Museum

Saturday, 20 July, to Saturday, 21 September, at Nuneaton Museum & Art Gallery.

This stunning exhibition by Coventry artist Val Hunt raises awareness of the animals and plants we have either already lost or stand to lose from our world, with intricate pieces created from all manner of recycled materials.

This display exhibition includes more than ninety pieces of work and ranges from the terrifying Tyrannosaurus Rex to the humble bumble bee.

This is a real “wow’’ exhibition, bright and colourful with a serious message. Younger visitors can colour in pictures inspired by Val’s work.

Alongside Val’s recreations of the natural world, there are other items, including jewellery, that can be purchased from the show.

Cllr Tim Jenkins, Portfolio Holder for Leisure, Communities, and Health, said:

“It’s hard to imagine that these amazing works of art were created from rubbish to be thrown away.

“Do drop into the museum, as this colourful exhibition will appeal to all ages.

“Remember, as with all our shows, admission is free, though donations are always welcome, and there are also our other displays to enjoy throughout the building.’’
