A summer packed full of activities is coming to Nuneaton Museum & Art Gallery, including eye-catching exhibitions, craft activities, and a chance to handle historic objects, and it is all free.

Cllr Tim Jenkins, Portfolio Holder for Leisure, Communities, and Health, said:

“This is a great programme of activities for families throughout the entire summer holidays.

“It can be difficult to keep children busy during the summer holidays, but these sessions will be a great source of entertainment.

“There are activities going on throughout the year at our museum as well as some wonderful exhibitions and displays, and I urge everyone to visit this excellent facility.’’

There is still a chance to see From Town to Town, an exhibition about Nuneaton Borough FC.

Our other exhibitions focus on nature with Val Hunt’s amazing crafty creations in Endangered and Extinct and Cusp, Anne Guest’s delicate cyanotypes.

The programme kicks off on Friday, 26 July, with Make and Take sessions taking place between 10:30am and 3:00pm.

The activities are drop-in style, which means at busy times visitors may have to wait and children must be accompanied by an adult.

Activities include making your own parrot bookmark, creating a football mural, colouring a sabre tooth tiger mask, and making a Gurkha hat.

As with all the shows, admission is free, though donations are always welcomed, and there are also several temporary exhibitions to enjoy throughout the building.
