Accepted items
- Asbestos, batteries, car batteries, cardboard, cartons, mixed textiles and clothes, electrical , fluorescent tubes, food and drink cans, fridges and freezers, garden waste, mixed glass bottles and jars, household waste, mobile phones, paper, plastic bottles, printer cartridges, scrap metal, shoes, telephone directories, TVs and monitors, used engine oil, wood and timber
Restricted items
Hardcore, rubber and soil and plasterboard
- Small amounts of hardcore, rubble and soil can be deposited for free at Judkins by members of the public
- Quantities accepted: Householders may deposit the equivalent of up to three 25 kg bags (75kg total combined weight) per household per month of hardcore, rubble and/or soil
- Hardcore, rubble and soil in excess of the limits will not be accepted
- Alternatively householders can make their own arrangement for the disposal of large
quantities of hardcore, rubble and soil for example by using bulk bag services offered from local DIY stores or skip hire.
Plasterboard:
- Small amounts of plasterboard and gypsum based products can be deposited for free at Judkins
- Quantities accepted: maximum of three sheets (2.4m x 1.2m) or equivalent can only be accepted per household per month
- This material must be kept separate from all other waste types, ask an advisor where to deposit this material
- Plasterboard in excess of the limits cannot be accepted
