Read the following frequenelty asked questions about energy efficiency and ECO4.
What energy efficiency measures could you qualify for?
Your chosen installer(s) will carry out a survey and identify a package of improvements suitable for your property.
If eligible, you could qualify for any of the improvements listed below. This is not the full list and other improvements might be available depending on the installer.
- Insulation including – loft, pitched roof, flat roof, room in roof, cavity wall, external wall internal wall and floor insulation (solid or suspended)
- Air or ground source heat pumps
- Gas, electric or Biomass boilers
- Heating controls
- Electric storage heaters
- Solar PV panels
- High performance Windows and external doors
- Draught proofing
Who funds and administers ECO4?
Ofgem administers the scheme on behalf of the Governments Department of Energy Security and Net Zero (DESNZ).
What is the role of Nuneaton and Bedworth Borough Council?
Our role is to assess the eligibility of a household and is not involved or responsible for issuing the funding, appointing contractors, or installing the works. ECO Flex is run by private companies (installers) and the funding for the improvements are awarded by the energy suppliers
Who is responsible at the council for completing the declaration and evidence check confirmation?
If you meet the criteria, you should apply via an ECO4 contractor to ensure that you can benefit from the scheme.
If you meet the ECO4 Flex criteria you will need to be assessed for eligibility. The following officer from Nuneaton and Bedworth Borough Council will be responsible for checking and verifying declarations and associated evidence submitted on behalf of the ECO4 Supplier:

The energy efficiency team at Nuneaton and Bedworth is a shared service which means we manager all energy efficiency enquiries on behalf of both Nuneaton and Bedworth and North Warwickshire.
