Where can I find information about fire safety
As a landlord, Nuneaton and Bedworth Borough Council must advise all residents of our multi-occupied residential buildings with two or more sets of domestic premises (and which have common parts) with fire safety instructions.
We have:
- Displayed the evacuation notice clearly in a building’s communal areas
- Shared directly with new tenants the fire safety instructions when they move into the building
- Reshared the fire safety instructions in both the communal areas and to tenants when it is updated
- Reshared the fire safety instructions to tenants annually, whether there have been any changes or not
We have provided residents with instructions on:
- How to report a fire
- The evacuation strategy for the building
- What residents must do once a fire has occurred, based on the building’s evacuation strategy (evacuation notice)
- Information on fire doors
Where can I get a copy of the fire safety instructions?
All residents will be sent fire safety instructions and evacuation notice by:
- Letter
- Text message (if we hold a valid mobile phone number)
- Email (if we hold a valid email address)
Make sure your details are correct by completing our housing customer profile form.
The notice will be clearly displayed in the building’s communal areas (most likely next to the entrance and exit doors).
New residents will receive the notices when accepting the keys for the property.
