Storytelling for Under 5s
Join us on a special Friday of every month, between 11:15am and 11:45am for storytelling, singing and crafting.

Be prepared to join in, make some noise and have some fun. No need to book just drop in. All children must be accompanied by an adult. This is a free event, but donations welcomed.
Hands on History Session - "Portraits"

The portraits in the museum collection range from the miniture to the large. Get up close and personal with a selection from our collection. No need to book, just drop in and meet one of our Museum Access Assistants. This is a free event, but donations welcomed.
Friday Lunchtime Talks - Quintin Watt - Transport Accidents in Midlands 1820s - 1920s

This illustrated talk deals with accidents from the regions stagecoaches, canals, railway and trams. What health and safety lessons have we learned from these tragic mishaps. Booking is essential.

Stitched Paper Slippers Workshop with Jennifer Collier
7 February 2025 - 11am to 4pm

Create hand stitched paper slippers from paper ephemera. In this workshop you will be shown how to patchwork papers together to create a bigger paper ‘fabric’ to make the work from, as well as several different options to really personalise your slippers. You will learn a range of hand stitches to add decorative details, along with paper roses and Suffolk puffs. All materials are provided but you may wish to bring along your own papers and books to personalise your slippers.
